It uses evaporative cooling rather than just moving warm air around. Fill the small tank with water — or drop in an ice cube for a stronger effect — and it releases a fine, cool mist while pulling air through. The built-in 7-colour LED adds a bit of ambiance without being distracting.
Plug it into your laptop, a power bank, or a USB wall adapter. It's quiet enough that you'll forget it's on.
